Questions

The lights grow dimmer day by day,
Quietly I watch those around,
Laughing, Crying, Dancing, Loving,
What does that feel like?

Nothing is easy in this world,
Everyone is out for your fall,
All your work will be outdone in time,
Why do we try?

Standing on the outside I am tainted,
Unable to express anymore,
Tired, empty, unloved I realize,
Why am I here?

There must be a reason,
I could not be an empty soul,
Languidly drifting into eternity,
What is the purpose?

The questions I ponder,
Thoughtfully looking at the ceiling above me,
I am numb,
I fell nothing,
What have I done?
